With The Tide ("we", "our", "us") is an order tracking and management platform operated by Ganesh International. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application at www.withthetide.in.
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address for authentication purposes.
Gmail data: With your explicit permission, we connect to your Gmail account using Google OAuth to read, organize, and send emails related to your trade orders. We access email subjects, bodies, attachments, and metadata solely to match emails to purchase orders and track shipment stages.
Order data: Purchase order details, supplier information, shipping documents, and related business data that you enter or that is extracted from your emails.
We use your information exclusively to provide the order tracking service: matching incoming emails to purchase orders, detecting trade stages and document types, extracting relevant data from email attachments (invoices, bills of lading, shipping documents), generating AI-powered insights about your orders, and sending emails on your behalf when you explicitly request it.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies ensuring users can only access data belonging to their organization. Gmail OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or email data with any third parties. Your data is only accessible to members of your organization within the application. We use Anthropic's Claude AI to process email content for matching and extraction — this data is sent via API and is not retained by Anthropic for training purposes.
Our use of Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request the minimum Gmail scopes necessary to provide the service (reading emails, sending emails, and managing labels). You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. Upon deletion, all your synced emails, order data, and documents will be permanently removed from our systems. Gmail OAuth tokens are revoked immediately upon disconnection.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can disconnect your Gmail account from the Settings page, which immediately revokes our access to your email. You can also revoke access directly from your Google Account permissions.
